DD ~ Disney in Color–RED

DD color button

Last week, we completed our
10 Weeks of Disney
series!  Yeah!
(Remember, there is still a week left to link up to last week’s topic if you didn’t get to do so yet. If you’re catching up from prior weeks’ topics, you can simply leave a comment on the appropriate post with a link to your post on your blog.)

Now, we are ready to move on to our new series -
Disney in Color

This week, let’s focus on the color
RED

I’m not going to give any direction for these posts except to say USE YOUR CREATIVITY!  You have free reign here – I only ask that your posts are Disney related in some way.  So, even if you’ve never been to a Disney park – you can play along!  Maybe you have a red Mickey bowl that you serve chips & dips in.  Share a picture!

Now, go post your answer on your own blog.  Be sure to include pictures (if you can) – we all love seeing the pictures!  Then, come  back here and link up with the DIRECT url of your post (please do NOT use the link to your blog alone).  I will leave the linky open for 2 weeks, so you have plenty of time to link up.  However, a new topic will be posted next Thursday.

Take the time to visit the other links, read their lists, leave comments, follow their blogs, and make some new friends!  Feel free to grab the coding on the button below to use in your Destination Disney posts.  (I’d love for you to display it in your sidebar also!)

Here is our full list of colors for the next 13 weeks, so you can plan ahead:

  • May 31st – RED
  • June 7th – BLACK
  • June 14th – YELLOW
  • June 21st – WHITE
  • June 28th – TURQUOISE/TEAL
  • July 5th – SILVER
  • July 12th – BLUE
  • July 19th – ORANGE
  • July 26th – PINK
  • August 2nd – BROWN
  • August 9th - GREEN
  • August 16th – PURPLE
  • August 23rd – GOLD
  • Afterwards, we will have a 2 week break before heading into a new series.

If YOU have an idea for a future series of Destination Disney posts, please e-mail me.  I’d love to feature your idea!

DD ~ Favorite Park

DD-button---my-blog_thumb

We’ve made it to the final week of our
10 Weeks of Disney
series!

(I want to say a very special THANK YOU
to each person who participated in the series -
whether you participated just one week or all 10 –
You are special to me!)

I’m so glad to have you here,
and can’t wait to see what is on your list as your
Favorite Disney Park

When I first thought of this particular topic, I thought “man, I have to choose one out of 4?!”  But, what about those who have been to Disneyland as well – that adds 2 more parks to choose from.  And some of you have been to other Disney parks – like Disneyland Paris, Tokyo, etc.  So, there are many, many Disney parks to choose from.  This week, we’re going to ask you to narrow it down to your absolute favorite!

So, go post your answer on your own blog.  Be sure to include pictures (if you can) – we all love seeing the pictures!  Then, come  back here and link up with the DIRECT url of your post.

Plan ahead! Check out our full list of topics.

And, as promised last week,
our theme for the next several weeks will be
Disney in Color!

Each week, I will post a new color – and you can interpret that color in any way that you like (related to Disney, of course!)  I think it will be a lot of fun and provide a lot of variety!

Once again, I’d like to shout out to Beth from A Disney Mom’s Thoughts for suggesting the series topic!

If YOU have an idea for a future series of Destination Disney posts, please e-mail me.

I’m so glad to have you here,

4 Favorite Souvenirs

My family and I LOVE shopping at Walt Disney World.  We often buy gift cards for the kids before our trips so that they know exactly how much money they have to spend.  No matter how you do your shopping, I’m sure you must surely have a few favorite souvenirs that you’ve picked up over the years.  And I want to hear about them!

We have always enjoyed the snacks at Disney (and anyone who’s ever read my blog probably knows what my favorite is, as I’ve shared many times) – but we took snacking to a whole new level on this last trip – making us of the Disney Dining Plan.  Now, we’ve got LOTS of NEW favorites.  I’m sure you do too!

DD ~ Top 6 Disney Restaurants

DD-button---my-blog_thumb

This week marks the 1/2 way point in our
10 Weeks of Disney
topic list!

I’m so glad to have you here,
and can’t wait to see what is on your list of
Top 6 Disney Restaurants

Anyone who’s ever been to Disney knows that dining there can be an experience in and of itself. Whether you enjoy dining with the characters, or trying an authentic ethnic restaurant in Epcot’s World Showcase, you most likely have a few favorite restaurants.  Even quick-service restaurants are fair game here.  (I’m going to Disney again in September – so I really can’t wait to read your lists this week – I still have some dining plans to make!)

So, go post your list on your own blog.  Be sure to include pictures (if you can) – we all love seeing the pictures!  Then, come  back here and link up with the DIRECT url of your post.  I will leave the linky open for 2 weeks, so you have plenty of time to link up.  However, a new topic will be posted next Thursday.

DD ~ 7 Favorite Things to do OUTSIDE the Parks

DD button - my blog

This week is the fourth week in our
10 Weeks of Disney
topic list!

I’m so glad to have you here,
and can’t wait to see what is on your list of
7 Favorite Things to do OUTSIDE the Parks

If you’ve been to Walt Disney World more than once, chances are that you’ve found some great “outside the parks” activities and fun places to visit – things like Old Town, the Holy Land Experience, outlet malls, etc.  Pretty much anything that does not classify as a Disney park but is within an hour’s drive is free  game this week!

DD ~ 8 Favorite Lands

DD button - my blog

This week is the third week in our
10 Weeks of Disney
topic list!

I’m so glad to have you here,
and can’t wait to see what is on your list of
8 Favorite “Lands”

We’re using the term “lands” somewhat loosely this week.  Think 6 lands in Magic Kingdom – Main Street USA, Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland.  At Epcot, think Pavilions – both in Future World and in World Showcase.  At Hollywood Studios, focus on streets or “areas” – such as Sunset Boulevard area or Pixar Place area.  And, for Animal Kingdom, think country or “section” – Asia or Camp Minnie-Mickey.

There are lots and lots of “lands”, sections, areas, whatever you want to refer to them as, to choose from.  This week, though, our goal is to focus on our 8 favorites.  Tell us why they are your favorites too (maybe your favorite ride or character greeting spot is there, maybe you take a picture there each year for tradition’s sake, or whatever).

DD ~ 9 Favorite Characters

Before we get started with this week’s topic, I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone who participated last week!  So far, we’ve had 21 link up with their Top 10 Disney Attractions lists (and I had a blast reading through them all!)  I hope you did too.  Maybe you even made some new friends.

For anyone who is new – WELCOME – we’re thrilled to have new participants this time around.  And for anyone who didn’t link up last week, there’s still time.  I always leave each topic’s linky open for two full weeks, so you have plenty of time to catch up if need be.  If you ever miss a linky, you can always leave a comment with a link to you post as well.

Now, moving on to this week’s topic . . .

DD ~ The Letter Z

It’s the last week of our Disney alphabet series!  Wow – that went fast, didn’t it?  I think that, for next week, we’ll do a PARTY theme.  You should be able to get pretty creative with that one!  Now, on to the final letter . . .

DD big

Welcome to Destination Disney!
I’m so glad to have you here!

As we move through the alphabet on our Destination Disney journey, we’re ready for the Letter Z this week.

So go, get busy!  Post those Letter Z things on your blog (with pictures, if you can) – then come  back here and link up!  I’ll link up my post too!

DD ~ The Letter Y

Some quick “business” before we get on with this week’s topic - - - since we’ll finish up the alphabet next week, I’m leaning toward taking a bit of a break from Destination Disney – maybe through January – and then starting up again in February (probably the 10th).  I got some great ideas for some new topics (from Beth at A Disney Mom’s Thoughts) that I think we’ll incorporate.  If you have ideas, I’d love to hear them (shoot me an e-mail!) Now, on to this week’s letter - - -

Use the Letter X as your inspiration.  OK, since I’m totally at a loss for ideas to get you started this week, here’s what I’m thinking – If you can’t think of words that actually start with X, try to think of works that X represents (such as crossing, or Christmas) and go from there.

So go, get busy!  Post those Letter X things on your blog (with pictures, if you can) – then come  back here and link up!  I’ll link up my post too!
